Specifications
Let start by looking at the official specifications. The sound is in this casea tiny 36mm driver with a frequency range of 160Hz-16KHz and a maximum power of 3W. The integrated 400mAh battery ensures a maximum of 6 hours of listening, depending on the playback style. The transmission takes care of Bluetooth 4.2 with a range of up to 10 meters and supports A2DP, HFP and HSP profiles. Speaker dimensions are 50x30mm and the weight is already 85 grams. The interesting thing about this model is that it can be used as a camera trigger thanks to a special built-in button.
Packaging
Packaging is standard and takes on very small dimensions. Once we look inside, it clear why. In addition to the usual information on the packaging, there is also a 1: 1 display of the speaker itself. Just look at the packaging so you can imagine how the X-Mini Click 2 is small. Inside, besides the speaker itself, there is also a Micro-USB charging cable and instructions.
Processing
The surprise is how the speaker is built. The body is made of brushed aluminum, on the top there is a metal perforated part, through which there is a line of music from the playing loudspeaker. The underside includes a rubber button that also incorporates a rechargeable Micro-USB connector. Everything is processed perfectly, the cuts in the metal parts are accurate and look good. Click 2 makes a very nice impression.
Controls
Due to size, this paragraph will be relatively brief. The only control on the entire device is the button on its bottom which has several functions. Its long hold works as a power on and off. Pressing once plays playback, the classic play/pause function, and doubles as the camera trigger. If you open the camera application on your phone or tablet, double-click photography is almost instant. This is an interesting feature that does not appear anywhere!
Sound quality
Here was the biggest surprise. Even when unpacking from the box, it was clear to me that such a tiny piece of speaker simply could not play well. I was waiting for a flat, blurry, and extremely inaccurate sound. The bigger surprise came when the speaker first played. From the perforated part of the body a pleasant neutral sound emerged, which definitely did not sound the way it was expected to look at Click 2. The speech was surprisingly clean and distorted. The basses are logically weaker, but the heights and the middle are more pronounced. On its size, the speaker offers a fairly decent power (3W). It will not be enough for the sound of a room full of people, but I do not see the slightest problem as a podcast, for example when sitting in a park. The sound is very nice and personally I've been testing Click 2 for longer than I originally expected. Due to size and price, therefore, a decent surprise.
Conclusion
X-Mini Click 2 is probably the most interesting piece we have here in recent reviews from X-Mini. The miniature speaker plays fairly decent. Its extremely compact size and low weight allow it to keep it constantly with you wherever you go. Click 2 will fit into every pocket, not to mention the backpack or handbag. The loop on the loudspeaker is another practical addition to this. For 800 crowns this is a very interesting act that could attract a lot of potential candidates. The only complaint is the absence of any level of protection against water and dust. Such a "mobile" speaker would really deserve it.
