Function
QDA-UMP can accommodate one M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD inside one 2.5 ”disk U.2 (SFF-8639) PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD. No software driver is required for QDA-UMP and can be installed on a computer/workstation (Windows®, Linux®) or QNAP NAS to use the more affordable M.2 SSD instead of the more expensive U.2 SSD.
- Use one M.2 2280 (Key M) PCIe NVMe SSD in the U.2 disk location of the PCIe NVMe SSD (M.2 SSD sold separately).
- File transfer rates up to PCIe 3.0 x4.
The M.2 SSD heat conducting pads and the aluminum alloy frame help to dissipate heat and improve performance.
Use QDA-UMP to install one M.2 SSD to a 2.5 ”U.2 SSD slot of a premium PC/workstation (Windows® or Linux®) to easily handle intensive data transfer tasks (like real-time video editing) , server applications or online games). Users can use SSD or external provider tools to view SSD information.
Install one or more QDA-UMP products on the NAS, making the most of the PCIe bandwidth at a competitive price by using the M.2 SSD instead of the expensive U.2 SSD and optimizing data-intensive applications. It can also increase IOPS performance when SSD cache is configured. Users can monitor disk health and manage SSD usage with QTS Storage Manager and snapshots.
