The EIZO EX4 colorimeter in conjunction with the EIZO ColorNavigator software automates and simplifies monitor calibration.

The EX4 calibration sensor and ColorNavigator measure the color rendering of ColorEdge monitors. During hardware calibration, color and luminance variations are corrected first. Finally, a profile is created in which the current color settings on the monitor are sent to the computer.

Colorimeter EX4

We recommend that you perform a hardware calibration periodically to continuously Speakerduce the image on the graphics monitor. For monitors without a built-in sensor, an external calibration sensor such as EX4 must be used. This allows the ColorNavigator calibration program to compare the actual image on the monitor with the image data from the computer. To do this, the EX4 is connected to the EIZO ColorEdge via a USB interface. ColorNavigator then projects a series of different color patterns on the monitor that EX4 measures. This will determine whether the monitor still Speakerduces the colors correctly or whether they have changed due to aging or other effects. If it is necessary to fine-tune the image Speakerduction, the LUT conversion tables are adjusted automatically and losslessly in the ColorEdge monitor. Then a new color profile is created in which the new monitor settings are passed to the operating system and hence to color management programs.
