The power supply (PSU – power supply unit) is an integral part of every electronic device including computers. Currently, the most common type of power supply is ATX. These range from 300 to 1200 Watts. You select your PSU from this range when assembling a computer depending on the consumption of individual PC components. Generally, it is recommended to always have some headroom. Most of today's PSUs are highly efficient --more than 80%, which saves you money. Higher class PSUs are called "cable management systems,” which allow you to use only the cables you need. Some well-known companies that manufacturer power supply units are: Seasonic, FSP Group, Corsair, Be Quiet!, Eurocase, Cooler Master, Enermax.
