AXAGON ADR-210, USB 2.0 AM -> AF active extension/repeater cable, 10m

The active USB 2.0 extension cable AXAGON ADR-210, 10 meters long, is ideal for connecting your computer to a USB device such as a mouse, keyboard, webcam, printer, scanner, plotter and others. The active USB repeater cable amplifies the passing signal and allows you to connect a USB device at a significantly greater distance than a passive cable allows. The range of the cable can be further extended by using several cables in a row.
A big advantage of the ADR-210 cable is the integrated auxiliary power connector . In most cases, the USB bus power supply is sufficient, but for devices with higher consumption, the USB power supply may be insufficient at longer USB distances, and an additional mains power supply may solve the problem in these cases.
The exceptionally compact body of the repeater cable allows trouble-free use in electrical mounting strips or cable systems. The use of a high-quality shielded cable guarantees high communication speed and minimal unwanted interference.

Power supply:
• Powering the cable and connected devices via the USB bus (bus-power mode 5V - 500mA).
• For most connected USB devices, the power supply via the USB bus is sufficient and no additional power supply is needed.
• The active part of the cable contains a connector (O 3.5 x 1.3mm outer x inner diameter) for additional external power supply 5V/1-2A.
• USB AM/3.5mm jack power cable 1.2 m long is included in the package. The cable will enable power from a common mobile phone charger with USB-A output 5V/min. 1A, e.g. AXAGON ACU-DS16.
• When powering the repeater cable with a power adapter, you can also connect an external 2.5" drive without the need to power the drive itself.
• In the caseof a longer USB path with several repeater cables connected one behind the other, the power supply over the USB bus may already be insufficient even for USB devices with a lower consumption than an external 2.5" drive. Also in this case, strengthening the power supply by connecting a power adapter can help.
