What is Intel XMP certification (Extreme Memory Profiles)?
XMP Technology is designed for both novice users and overclockers, offers the ability to easily increase performance DDR3 XMP memory using preset profiles in the BIOS. Obviously, the possibility of manual performance tuning by setting the frequency, timing, etc., or leave the default standard memory parameters.
Information preset profiles are stored in the SPD chip on the memory module, booting after BIOS loads the data for the profile (including information such as timings, FSB, vDIMM, vcore) and the computer starts up it overclocked with these parameters.
XMP is a free added value for each customer, it is up to you whether you use XMP on modules or wear them to work on standard not overclocked parameters, because you can use these modules without any restrictions for use in motherboards for AMD.
